SCUNA Committees to 1988

SCUNA history » Committees

Note

I am indebted to the Rob Kay Commemorative Electronic ERATO Archive for most of the post-1970 information. There are many gaps even after that, as the fortunes of SCUNA waxed and waned. If anyone can fill them, please me.

Confusion arises because of the arrangements for SCUNA's Annual General Meeting (AGM). Until 1977, SCUNA committees took office after the AGM, which was held in September. From 1977, they were elected in September and took office the following year. These days, the AGM seems to be in December, which makes more sense!

When the position of First Year Rep[resentative] was introduced, in 1974 as far as I can tell, the election was to be held at a General Meeting during first term. If the occupant was elected to the committee at the AGM later that year, the position of First Year Rep was meant to remain vacant till the following year.
